Description
The technique of writing/painting icons will be coupled with a study of the spirituality, history, and theology of Orthodox iconography. Projects will include either painting/writing an icon or a research paper. Devotional use of the icons will be explored as another prayer form. A field trip to an Orthodox church is included along with the class presentations and lab work. A lab fee will be charged for materials needed in painting an icon.
