Description

In this course, student study the theory and methods relevant to integrating health and wellness into the life of the Christian public leader, the congregation, and the larger community. Physical, emotional, social, intellectual, vocational, and spiritual health issues are explored. Ethical issues arising from today's health care system, the role of the health professional in congregational caregiving, prayer as ministry, teaching health in a parish setting, the role of a congregation in maintaining a healthy community, and care issues around death and dying are addressed. This course is normally taught by a medical professional with experience in working in a church or church-related institutional setting.
