Description
An introduction to the historical, cultural, and ecclesiastical attitudes towards alcoholism and drug usage. Consideration is given to etiology, symptomatology, intervention, and prevention of addiction. Special consideration is given to the theological implications of addiction and the unique role of pastoral ministry in recovery. Prerequisite: PC2525 Foundations of Pastoral Care for MDiv students.
