Description
A study of these chapters in the contexts of the entire book of Isaiah, the prophetic corpus, the history and theology of the exilic period, and New Testament and Christian interpretations. The course focuses both on the careful reading of individual texts and on the message of comfort and servanthood in the chapters as a whole. Prerequisite: LG1100 Hebrew or equivalent for all MDiv and MA-Old Testament students.
