Description

A study of these chapters in the contexts of the entire book of Isaiah, the prophetic corpus, the history and theology of the post-exilic period, and New Testament and Christian interpretations. The course gives particular attention to important political and sociological issues facing post-exilic Judah, as well as to literary strategies for reading biblical poetry. Prerequisite: LG0110 Biblical Hebrew or equivalent for all MDiv and MA-Old Testament students.
