When you register for Prof. Howard's online course, you should choose whether you want your weekly discussion work in the course to happen synchronously or asynchronously. Both options are fully online. "Synchronously" means that you will show up on Zoom for a live small-group discussion every week. "Asynchronously" means that you will do all of your work in the written discussion forums on Moodle, so that you don't have to be anywhere at a particular time each week to complete the work of the course. To choose asynchronous discussion groups, register for the course (OT 0115 50) and for the first precept (OT 0115 50L1). To choose synchronous discussion groups, register for OT 0115 50 and the second or third precept (OT0115 50L2 for Thursdays at 10 am, OT0115 50L3 for Fridays at 9 am). Please choose an option you can commit to for the whole semester; switching between times or between synchronous and asynchronous options during the semester will not be allowed.
