Description

This course explores the theological framework and the practical application of discipleship within a missional context. Students will study how Jesus makes disciples in the Gospels and how discipleship was lived out in the Acts of the Apostles and the rest of the New Testament. These biblical and theological frameworks will be brought into conversation with current theories of missiology and adult formation to form a theoretical and practical framework for missional discipleship. The student will then explore the implications of applying these frameworks into various cultural contexts in which the Holy Spirit may be inviting new ministries to emerge.
