Course Description

“Please note that this course is currently under construction, and I will continue to update it as we move towards the course’s start and through the spring term. I reserve the right to change assignments and other details in response to what is unfolding as we learn together. I will not shorten assignment deadlines, and I am also open to your needs -- so please do not hesitate to be in touch with me!”

Course Catalog Description - Students, together with clergy and lay persons from small town and rural congregations, study issues affecting America’s small town and rural (STaR) communities. Clergy and lay persons from STaR congregations and communities are engaged as part of the course. Contexts include southwestern Minnesota(the context for this immersion), Iowa, Nebraska, and North Dakota. Implications for ministry and leadership in these contexts are explored. Because contexts change, this course may be repeated for credit.
