Description
Justice as a concept expressed, through various words, is vital and central to the witness of the Old and the New Testaments. It has also been critical to both classical and post-enlightenment philosophies. It has been an especially essential concept for socio-political philosophers and others concerned with the structure of social relations and the ordering of a just, peaceful and sustainable society. In this course we will study the many contemporary theories of justice and scrutinize them theologically for their validity and application as part of the Christian vocation of witness (marturion) and mission of the Church.
