Description
The purpose of this course is to develop a critical understanding of how social and historical contexts contribute to the formation of various theologies, e.g. Black and Womanist theologies; to become familiar with their intellectual traditions; to consider the relevance of Black theological discourse for the life of the church and local communities; to put them into critical dialogue; to examine their commonalities and differences; and to see how they challenge our own perspectives and deepen our spiritual grounding.
