Description
An overview of the Psalms along with related Old Testament texts with particular attention to their illumination of the form, substance, and theology of Israel's worship. The course investigates how this background informs the structure and theology of New Testament worship and the worship of the Christian church, especially in its use of the Psalms. Students who have taken OT3113 for credit may NOT take OT3112 for credit. Prerequisite: LG1100 Hebrew or equivalent for all MDiv and MA-Old Testament students.
