Description
An examination of how Christians have embodied, understood and confessed their faith from its beginnings to the eve of the Western Reformation. This course considers the challenges of confessing the Christian faith and pays particular attention to how disputes over orthodoxy, heresy, society, culture, and politics have affected and been affected by missional concerns during the formative years of Christianity. Attention will be given to the diverse Christian expressions as they began and developed in different parts of the ancient world of Asia, Africa and Europe.
