Description
An introduction to advanced graduate level research methods commonly found in theological scholarship. Part B is the second part of a two-part course sequence for doctoral students. This course has three primary themes: rhetorical strategies for written theological scholarship, developing an effective literature review, and writing a dissertation research proposal. Topics include leveraging citation software, analyzing and synthesizing existing scholarship, identifying scholarship deficiencies, organizing and planning for research, identifying rhetorical strategies, and choosing a research methodology. Participants will construct a draft research proposal.
