Description

An intensive eight-day immersion experience in Chiapas provides the context to examine the role of the church in this southern state that has one of the poorest living standards in the country while at the same time producing the greatest wealth of natural resources in Mexico. Explore the legacy of Bishop Samuel Ruiz' ministry related to the defense of human rights, the formation of local catechists and his prophetic stance in solidarity with indigenous peoples in their struggle for life and dignity.
