Description

Hosted by the people of San Lucas Toliman located in the highlands of Guatemala, participants learn, live, and reflect with community leaders in the commercial city on the shores of Lake Attilan. In addition to addressing questions of culture and contemporary church life, issues of global economy and political realities in Central America, the time in San Lucas offers a rich opportunity for exploring issues of personal spirituality, Christian faith, and mission in the 21st century. The final days of the experience are spent in Guatemala City, hosted by the Iglesia Luterana Augustina de Guatemala. Registration and a $250 non-refundable deposit are required. This trip is phsyically strenuous and involves living in a more remote area of Central America. Students are required to contact Dean Patricial Lull (instructor) prior to making application or registration.
