The ISSA office is committed to:

• Providing leadership for the international efforts of the seminary.
• Building and maintaining relevant services and support for international students and scholars.
• Ensuring the seminary’s compliance with U.S. Federal regulations and procedures, especially for those international students/scholars invited to Luther Seminary to study, research, teach, relate, and work.
• Serving as a primary contact for all international applicants, assisting students with application requirements and financial solvency documents.
• Identifying and coordinating with the ELCA and other partner’s sources of funding to support international students during their study. Additionally, ISSA administers scholarship support for international students or scholars at Luther Seminary.
• Advising students on individual situations.
